Ingredients
- 1 baguette (s)
- 10 slices bacon
For the meat:
- 3 rolls, stale
- 200 ml milk
- 1 large onion (s)
- 1 clove garlic
- 500 g minced meat, mixed or beef
- 3 egg (s)
- Paprika powder
- Cayenne pepper
- thyme
- mustard
- salt and pepper
- Worcester sauce
- Smoked salt
- Oil, for frying
For the salad:
- 1 head lettuce, your choice
- 4 tomato (s)
- 2 onion (s), red
- 2 tablespoon ketchup
For the sauce: (tartar sauce)
- 1 apple
- 1 egg (s), hard-boiled
- 1 pickle (s)
- 150 g mayonnaise
- some cucumber liquid
- salt and pepper
- tarragon
- parsley

- Meatballs:
- Soak the rolls in the milk. Peel and finely chop onions and garlic. Mix the minced meat in a bowl with the squeezed rolls, onions, garlic and eggs. Then season with mustard and the spices. Shape the minced meat into 8 meatballs and fry on each side in a pan with hot oil. Cook on medium heat for another 10 minutes.
- Salad:
- Wash and pluck the lettuce. Wash and dice the tomatoes, peel and chop the onion. Mix the lettuce, tomatoes and onions with a little ketchup.
- Remoulade:
- Chop the apple, peeled egg, pickles and herbs into small pieces. Mix with the mayonnaise and the pickle water and season with salt and pepper.
- Serving:
- Fry the strips of bacon in a hot pan until crispy. Cut the bread open, spread the tartar sauce and top with meatballs, bacon and salad.
