Navy Eggplant

Don’t want to overload the meat dish with pasta too? Why not replace the usual recipe and make these wonderful naval eggplants at home for yourself and your family!

Servings: 3-4

Ingredients

  • Minced meat – 500 grams
  • Eggplant – 500 Grams
  • Onion – 1 Piece
  • Tomatoes – 4 Pieces
  • Garlic – 1-2 Cloves
  • Olive Oil – To taste (for frying)
  • Spices – To taste

Directions

  1. Cut the eggplants into any pieces, but not large ones. Salt and set aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Finely chop the onion and fry in olive oil.
  3. We make minced meat from meat (however, you can also purchase ready-made).
  4. Add the minced meat to the onion and fry.
  5. We squeeze the eggplant from the salt and add to the minced meat.
  6. Chop the tomatoes finely and add them to the meat and eggplant. Add more olive oil if needed. Chop the garlic and, along with the spices, send it to the meat. Close the lid and simmer until tender. That’s all! Our navy eggplants are ready. They can be served with a side dish in the form of mashed potatoes, or without a side dish at all.
