Oatmeal Cookies with Coconut Flakes

Oatmeal cookies are made from whole oatmeal flakes with the addition of wheat flour and coconut flakes.

How to make coconut oatmeal cookies:

Directions

Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees. Cover three large baking sheets with parchment.
In a large bowl, combine oatmeal, flour, coconut, and sugar. Melt the butter in a small saucepan, add the corn syrup and stir.
In a separate bowl, dilute the soda in 2 tbsp of boiling water. Pour this mixture into melted butter.
Add liquid ingredients to dry ingredients, mix well.
Form the dough into balls the same size as the walnut. Place the balls on baking trays, 2.5 cm apart.
Place the baking sheets in a preheated oven, bake oatmeal cookies with coconut flakes until golden brown, about 15 minutes.
Remove the baking sheets from the oven, let the cookies cool slightly, and then transfer to the wire rack. Leave the oatmeal cookies with coconut on a wire shelf until they cool completely.
