Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 200 g butter
  • 250 grams sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 4 egg (s), (size L)
  • 300 g spelled flour, smooth
  • 1 packet tartar baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 orange (s), (grated zest it)
  • 75 ml orange juice
  • 200 g poppy seeds, rated ray
  • 20 g suar

For the cast:

  • 200 g powdered suar
  • 2 tablespoon orange juice

Instructions

  1. Use the ingredients for the base dough to make a batter that is difficult to tear off the spoon. Beat the butter until frothy, add the sugar and vanilla sugar and stir until a creamy white mixture is formed. Then stir in the eggs one by one. Then add flour, milk and baking powder and stir only briefly.
  2. Stir in the orange peel, orange juice, poppy seeds and 20 g sugar under half of the batter. Alternately pour both doughs into a loaf pan and marble.
  3. Bake at 150 ° C for approx. 60 minutes. After cooling, decorate with the icing.
