Ingredients

  • 250 g butter
  • 250 grams sugar
  • 4 egg (s)
  • 100 ml milk
  • 500g flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 75 g desiccated coconut
  • 3 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 5 tablespoon chocolate, chopped
  • 1 pack cake icing, (chocolate icing)

For decoration:

  • Biscuit (s), (shortbread biscuits)
  • Sweets, (smarties)
  • Wafer rolls

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees top and bottom heat.
  2. Beat the butter until frothy. Add sugar, eggs, salt and milk and stir everything well. Mix the flour with baking powder and vanilla sugar, sieve over the mixture and knead the dough. Add grated coconut and chopped chocolate. Halve the dough and work the cocoa into one half.
  3. Grease a loaf pan. Pour the dough halves on top of each other without mixing and smooth out. Bake on the middle rack for at least 60 minutes. Be sure to do the chopstick test! Take the mold out of the oven and let it cool down.
  4. Cut off part of the curve at the top and cut a point at the front. Prepare the cake icing according to the instructions on the packet and cover the cake with it. Add decorations as you please: make a cabin out of butter biscuits, use smarties as portholes and waffle rolls for cannon barrels. Cut out sails from paper and stick on long drinking straws. Line a tray with blue paper and place the cake ship on it.
