  • Potato flour
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Salt water

Instructions

  1. First of all, cook the potatoes until they are done. Then the potatoes are mashed in a bowl or, if you have one, you can press them through a press.
  2. A quarter is pushed aside in the bowl. The same amount of potato flour (1/4) is now placed in the space (1/4) that has now become free (what was previously the mashed potatoes). The set aside 1 / mashed potatoes is added again to the rest and finally the egg yolk is added and the mixture is now mixed well.
  3. When a homogeneous mass has been created (not too sticky-dry), dumplings are formed from the mass. If you like, you can also make a depression for sauce.
  4. Then the dumplings are carefully placed in (slightly simmering) salted water. When the dumplings float on the surface, turn off the stove and let the dumplings soak for another 3 - 5 minutes.
