Ingredients

  • 500 g pork, (schnitzel or fillet)
  • pepper
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 3 leeks, small
  • 300 g mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoon oil, (for frying)
  • 200 ml broth, (meat broth)
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon curry, mild
  • salt
  • Lemon juice (or vinegar), to taste
  • Peanuts, roasted and chopped to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash the meat, pat dry and cut into strips approx. 1 cm wide and 5 cm long. Dust them with pepper and lightly with flour. Clean, wash and cut the leek into thin rings and the mushrooms into thin slices. Heat oil in a large pan. Sear the meat on all sides, then add the leeks and mushrooms, fry for 3 minutes while turning. Pour hot broth and soy sauce on top, squeeze in the garlic clove and let everything simmer for 15 minutes (pork fillet only approx. 5 minutes). Thicken the sauce with mixed cornstarch, add salt, curry and possibly lemon juice or vinegar to taste. Serve sprinkled with chopped peanuts if you like. Rice goes best with it, but it also tastes good with mashed potatoes or pasta.
