Pork with Mushrooms in Sweet and Sour Sauce

Unusual Chinese style pork sautés with mushrooms.

Ingredients

  • Pork – 500 g
  • Shiitake mushrooms – 50 g
  • Carrots – 2 pcs.
  • Bulgarian pepper – 2 pcs.
  • Cucumber – 0.5-1 pcs.
  • Green onions – 3-4 pcs.
  • Soy sauce – 3 tbsp
  • Vinegar – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp
  • Vegetable oil – 4-5 tbsp
  • Water – 200 g

Directions

  1. We make a marinade from soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and salt.
  2. Cut the meat into cubes.
  3. Mix the meat with the prepared marinade and leave for an hour. Then we drain the marinade, but do not pour it out!
  4. Soak the mushrooms for 40 minutes. And then cook for 10 minutes (until half cooked). Then we drain the water.
  5. Cut the pepper into strips.
  6. Peel the carrots, wash and chop finely.
  7. Finely chop the cucumbers.
  8. Chop the green onion (only the white part).
  9. Finely chop the mushrooms.
  10. Heat oil in a frying pan. We spread the meat and fry it, stirring it, over high heat for 10 minutes. Then reduce the heat to medium and simmer the meat for another 10 minutes.
  11. Add prepared vegetables. Increase heat to high and fry, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes.
  12. Then pour in water, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 20 minutes.
  13. Add the mushrooms and the remaining marinade, mix, simmer the pork with mushrooms in the sauce for another 10 minutes.

Pork with mushrooms in Chinese sauce is ready.
