Instructions

  1. Wash the romanesco, cut into florets and cook in salted water until firm to the bite for about 10 minutes. Drain and set aside. Boil the potatoes as jacket potatoes with caraway seeds until they are firm to the bite, allow to cool, peel and cut into slices.
  2. Preheat the oven to 220 ° C top / bottom heat.
  3. In a baking dish, first layer the potatoes, then the romanesco. Season with salt, pepper and plenty of chilli flakes. Pour the cream over it and spread the grated cheese on top.
  4. Bake in the hot oven for about 15-20 minutes.
  5. A tasty side dish for all meat dishes, where you prepare potatoes and vegetables in one course.
  6. Also very tasty and piquant as a main course without meat.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
