Ingredients

  • 500 g minced meat, (beef)
  • 1 onion (s), (chopped)
  • 1 garlic clove (s), (crushed)
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 5 tablespoon breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper
  • 425 g canned tomato (s), (chopped)
  • 3 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  • 1 onion (s), (chopped)
  • 1 garlic clove (s), (crushed)
  • 1 ginger (small piece, chopped)
  • Cayenne pepper
  • sesame
  • Paprika powder, noble sweet
  • Sambal Oelek or Tabasco
  • oil

Sesame – Meatballs with Hot Sauce

Instructions

  1. The minced meat, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, pepper and salt are mixed together. Then you form small balls that are rolled in sesame seeds. The balls are fried all over in hot oil and cooked through over medium heat for about 15 minutes.
  2. For the sauce, onion, garlic and ginger are sautéed golden yellow in oil.
  3. Add the tomatoes, ketchup, 1-2 teaspoons of sambal oelek, cayenne pepper, paprika and salt and let it simmer for about 15 minutes over a moderate heat.
  4. Serve the sauce with the meatballs.
  5. Rice or flatbread goes well as a side dish.
