Ingredients

  • 6 slices stollen, preferably almond stollen
  • 0.25 liter ¼ milk
  • 0.25 liter ¼ cream
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 1 vanilla pod (s)
  • some butter
  • some powdered sugar
  • 2 handfuls strawberries or raspberries, frozen

Instructions

  1. Mix the milk, cream, egg and the pulp of the vanilla pod together.
  2. Cut 6 thick slices from the stollen and soak them well in the milk mixture. It should be completely covered.
  3. Layer everything in a buttered casserole dish and dust with plenty of powdered sugar.
  4. Put in the oven at 180 ° for about 20 minutes.
  5. Heat a little butter in a pan and add about 2 handfuls of frozen berries. Thaw while stirring, add some sugar and bring to the boil for a short time.
  6. Serve with the casserole.
  7. The casserole also tastes very good cold.
