Ingredients

  • 3 egg (s)
  • 300 ml sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon, ground
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, ground
  • 1 tablespoon clove (s), ground
  • 150 ml jam (cranberry jam)
  • 150 ml sour cream
  • 150 g butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 450 ml flour

Instructions

  1. Beat the eggs with the sugar until frothy. Add the spices, cranberry jam and sour cream and stir in. Mix the flour with baking soda and stir in together with the melted butter. Pour into a 2 l form and bake in the preheated oven at approx. 175 ° C for 50-60 minutes on the middle rack. At the end of the cooking time, do the chopsticks test.
  2. With the spices you can let your creativity run free and vary the quantities, depending on your taste. Baking powder can be used instead of baking soda and the amount of cranberry jam is around 5 good tablespoons. The result is very juicy and will keep for 2-3 weeks if packaged well. Can be frozen very well.
