Ingredients

  • 200 g butter
  • 100 g powdered suar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 1 little vanilla sugar
  • 100 g walnuts, rouhly chopped
  • 300 grams flour

Instructions

  1. The butter is stirred together with the sifted icing sugar and the egg yolk until smooth. Season to taste with salt and vanilla sugar. Now you add the roughly chopped walnuts and sieve the flour over it. Knead briefly until a uniform mass is obtained. Then rolls are formed (Ø approx. 4 cm) and let cool well in the refrigerator.
  2. Then cut slices about 1/2 cm thick and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in the oven at approx. 170 ° C for 25 - 30 minutes. The crumbs shouldn`t get dark, just light brown.
  3. After cooling, store in tin cans. Could last a long time, but in my experience they don`t because they are eaten up too quickly.
