Ingredients

  • 300 g almond (s)
  • 3 egg whites
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 1 bottle bitter almond flavor
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Finely grind the almonds. Beat egg whites into very stiff snow. Mix in the sugar. Stir in the almonds and bitter almond flavor.
  2. Shape the mixture into walnut-sized balls and place on two greased baking trays.
  3. Dust the macaroons with powdered sugar and let rest for a few hours.
  4. Heat the oven to 150 °. Bake the amaretti for about 35 minutes. Remove from the tray immediately and let it cool down.
