Baked Apples in a Puff Pastry Net

A very effective apple dessert! The view is simply space, the taste will also delight many! Oven-baked apple with nuts, honey and raisins. And on top – an openwork mesh of puff pastry! Nice, tasty and easy!

Ingredients

  • Apples – 4 pcs.
  • Nuts – 4 tbsp
  • Raisins – 4 teaspoon
  • Honey – 4 teaspoon + for decoration
  • Water – 30-50 ml
  • Puff pastry – 1 sheet (250 g)
  • Yolk – for lubrication
  • Milk – 1 tablespoon.
  • Flour – for sprinkling on a baking sheet
  • Vegetable oil – for working with dough
  • Confectionery sprinkles (optional) – for decoration

Directions

  1. Let’s start with apples, today I have two varieties – sweet and sour (choose your favorites).
  2. While the apples are whole, we make balls from foil and baking paper (we cut the paper into small pieces, crumple and wrap in foil) – these are doubles, there should be more apples in size.
  3. The filling for apples is very easy. We sort out the raisins and pour boiling water for a few minutes. Chop the nuts if desired. Then add the nuts and mix well.
  4. For apples, carefully select the middle so that the bottom remains.
  5. We put the apples in the mold and fill them with the filling. Sprinkle each apple with a teaspoon of honey. Adjust the sweetness to your taste.
  6. Pour some water (30-40 ml) into the mold. We send apples with raisins and nuts to the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 20-25 minutes.
  7. While the apples are in the oven, we will prepare a decoration – a puff pastry net.
  8. Roll out a layer of puff pastry thinner (2-3 mm), divide it into four parts. And we cut each part with a mesh, I have a special video.
  9. For each prepared ball, distribute a mesh of dough. Correct to make it beautiful. Lubricate the dough with yolk mixed with milk, and send it to the oven to bake until a beautiful golden color (at a temperature of 200 degrees).
  10. Let the baked apples cool, they are very fragrant and, I’m sure, they turned out delicious. The most important thing here is not to eat everything at once. 🙂
  11. We also let the nets cool, take out the paper and free it from the foil. Very careful not to break.
  12. We cover the apples with the filling with an openwork lattice, you can pour honey on top and decorate with sprinkles. And this beauty is ready! It’s a pity to break, but delicious. 🙂
