  • 1 teaspoon sugar, brown
  • 0.25 liter ¼ white wine
  • some lime juice
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Place the puff pastry squares on baking paper and allow to thaw.
  2. Halve the apples, place them in the middle of the puff pastry and cut the square plate into shape like a large apple. Shape the leftover dough into stalks and leaves. Now peel the apples and remove the core, cut into a fan shape and drizzle with a little lime juice so that they do not turn brown.
  3. Now caramelize the 4 tablespoons of sugar together with 4 tablespoons of white wine in a saucepan. Deglaze with the rest of the white wine and let the apple halves steep for approx. 3 - 4 minutes. Remove and place on the prepared puff pastry and sprinkle with a little brown sugar. Attach the stems and leaves with the help of egg white. Brush the protruding edges of the dough with egg yolk and bake in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 25 minutes until golden.
  4. After cooling, make a glaze from powdered sugar and lime juice and garnish the cakes with it.
