Baked Ziti

Recipe for making macaroni with cheese, sweet Italian sausage, mozzarella and Marzano.

Ingredients

  • Pasta – 450 Grams (Ziti)
  • Parmesan – 3/4 Cup (grated)
  • Salt – 1 Pinch
  • Pepper – 1 Pinch
  • Sausage – 250 grams (sweet, Italian)
  • Onions – 1/2 Pieces
  • Tomatoes – 780 Grams (Marzano Canned)
  • Basil – 1 Piece
  • Mozzarella Cheese – 450 Grams
  • Red pepper – 1 Piece (finely chopped)
  • Olive oil – 1 Piece
  • Sausage – 250 grams (spicy, Italian)
  • Garlic – 4 Pieces
  • Tomato paste – 1 Piece (Marzano)
  • Thyme – 1 Piece

Directions

  1. Peel and fry the sausage in 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
  2. Now let’s get down to the sauce. It is best to use real Italian San Marzano tomatoes.
  3. Grind in a blender.
  4. Chop the onion, basil, thyme, garlic.
  5. Add herbs, onions and garlic to the sausage. Cook for a few minutes until transparent.
  6. Fill with tomato paste.
  7. Add spices. Stir and simmer for 10 minutes.
  8. Supply water for pasta.
  9. Put the pasta in boiling water. Add some olive oil.
  10. Using different types of cheese is a must! Chop Parmesan and Mozzarella.
  11. Cut half of the mozzarella into cubes and the other half into thin slices.
  12. You can add tomato paste to the sauce.
  13. By this time the pasta should be al dente. Rinse them out.
  14. Sprinkle the pasta with sauce, sprinkle with cheese, add salt and pepper. Season with a pinch of red pepper.
  15. We mix.
  16. Place the cheese slices on top. Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.
