Ingredients

  • 500 g beans, reen
  • salt
  • 3 onion (s), red
  • 1 large quince (s)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 0.5 ½ bunch savory
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Blanch the prepared beans in salted water for about 5 minutes and drain.
  2. Rub, wash and quarter the quince, cut out the core and cut into approx. 1 cm cubes.
  3. Mix with lemon juice so that the quince does not turn brown.
  4. Cut the peeled onions into small pieces.
  5. Fry the onions and quince in the olive oil for about 5 minutes.
  6. Add the beans and savory and fry for another 2 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve as a side dish e.g. with venison saltimbocca (recipe also in my profile).
