Beef in a Pressure Cooker

There are two ways to cook juicy and tender beef: the first is to stew the meat for several hours, the second is to cook the beef in a pressure cooker, in my opinion, this option is faster and easier.

Cook: 1 hour 25 mins

Servings: 4-5

Ingredients

  • Beef – 1 Kilogram
  • Onions – 2 Pieces
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp (for frying)
  • Spices – To taste (ground black pepper, suneli hops, dried herbs)
  • Salt – To taste

Directions

  1. So, we rinse the meat and wipe it off with paper towels, then cut the beef into small pieces.
  2. Put the pressure cooker on the fire and pour a little vegetable oil into it. Fry onions cut into half rings in oil until golden brown.
  3. Then add pieces of beef to the onion, continue to fry everything until moisture evaporates from the meat.
  4. After the meat juice has boiled away, fry the beef until golden brown, stirring for another 10-15 minutes.
  5. Now pour water into the pressure cooker so that the liquid completely covers the meat, close the pressure cooker with a lid and simmer the beef over low heat for 35-40 minutes. At the end of the time, let off steam through the valve, open the lid, salt and season the meat with spices to taste. Close the lid again and cook the beef for another 10 minutes.
  6. After 10 minutes, we open the valve again to release the steam, and then carefully remove the lid. Put the finished meat on plates and serve with your favorite side dish.
