Brussels Sprouts with Apple and Pork Belly

A delicious recipe for making pork belly with Brussels sprouts, onions, and apples. Vegetables with apples are first baked in the oven and then fried with pork belly.
Ingredients
- Smoked pork brisket or pork belly – 150 g
- Brussels sprouts – 400-500 g
- Red onion – 1 pc.
- Apple – 1 pc.
- Lard (optional) – to taste
- Vegetable oil
- Ground black pepper
- Salt
Directions
- Cut the onion in half. Place the Brussels sprouts and onion halves in a bowl. Sprinkle with vegetable oil, salt, pepper, mix.
- Line a baking sheet with baking paper and bake in the oven at 190 degrees for 15 minutes. Divide the apple in half, remove the core. Add to a baking sheet with cabbage and onions, bake for another 25-30 minutes.
- Fry the chopped pork belly in your own fat in a pan. If desired, you can add a little lard for fat content. Remove vegetables and apples from the oven. Remove the skin from the baked apple. Cut the apple and onion into pieces approximately equal to the size of the Brussels sprouts.
- Add Brussels sprouts, apple, and onion to the brisket. Mix. Fry Brussels sprouts with apple and pork belly for another 5 minutes.
- Brussels sprouts with apple and pork belly are ready.
