Classic Pizza Crust

The recipe describes how to make a yeast pizza dough.

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour – 280 g (about 2.25 cups)
  • Active dry yeast – 2.25 teaspoon.
  • Sugar – 2 teaspoon
  • Salt – 0.5 teaspoon.
  • Warm water – 0.75 cups
  • Vegetable oil – to taste
  • Corn flour (for sprinkling a baking sheet) – 2 tbsp

Directions

  1. Pour warm water into a large bowl, add sugar and yeast, leave for 5 minutes at room temperature.
  2. Add salt and flour to the water, mix.
  3. Put the dough on a floured surface and knead to a homogeneous dough that will not stick to your hands (add additional flour as needed).
  4. Lightly grease a bowl with butter, put the dough in it, cover and put in a warm place to rise twice (30-40 minutes).
  5. Knead the approached dough and roll it into a circle 35 cm in diameter, about 0.5 cm thick. Sprinkle the baking sheet with corn flour, put the circle of dough on it, form the sides with your hands.
  6. Sprinkle the pizza crust with vegetable oil, cover with cling film or a clean kitchen towel and place the pizza crust in a warm place for 30 minutes.
  7. Place the matching crust in the oven, bake the pizza crust until tender. Then put the filling on the cake and cook for a couple of minutes.
