Curd Puff Bagels “Antidepressants”

There are such unpretentious recipes that you try once, then come back to them again and again. I really love this recipe for its simplicity and the final result.

Ingredients

  • Cottage cheese – 150 g
  • Butter (chilled) – 150 g
  • Flour – 180 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Salt – 1/4 teaspoon.
  • Powdered sugar – to taste

Directions

  1. Prepare products for cottage cheese bagels. The oil should be very cold.
  2. Mix flour with salt. Grate cold butter into it on a coarse grater.
  3. Mix quickly with your hands into crumbs. Crumble the cottage cheese there and again mix everything quickly.
  4. Make a depression in the crumb and pour the loose egg there.
  5. Quickly mold everything into a lump (no need to knead the dough). If necessary, add a spoonful of ice water.
    Wrap the dough in foil and refrigerate for at least two hours or overnight.
  6. Cut off half of the dough, roll it into a layer 3 mm thick.
  7. Cut into triangle sectors (for example, 8 pieces), sweep away excess flour. Cut the triangles in the middle of the base side by about 2 cm, and then fold loosely into bagels without pressing. Do the same with the rest of the test.
  8. Put the bagels on a baking sheet covered with parchment and refrigerate for half an hour (you can leave them in the refrigerator or freezer for a longer period).
  9. Bake curd rolls for about 25 minutes in an oven preheated to 200 ° C.
  10. You can sprinkle the cottage cheese rolls with powdered sugar.
