Ingredients

For the salad:

1 lettuce heart (s) (Romana), two depending on size
1 chicory, red or yellow
1 spring onion (s)
10 red and / or yellow cocktail tomatoes
1 small apple, unpeeled

Instructions

For the salad, wash the lettuce heart and cut into strips. If necessary, remove the outer leaves and the bitter stalk from the chicory and cut into strips. Clean the spring onions and cut into fine rings. Quarter the cherry tomatoes, core the apple and cut into small cubes. Put everything in a salad bowl. If you like, you can add chopped herbs from the garden.
Mix all the ingredients for the dressing, season to taste and pour over the salad. Vinegar is not necessary, the apple gives the salad its acidity and freshness.
Mix shortly before serving so that everything stays crisp.
We like to eat the salad with grilled food. Since it is rich, it is also suitable for low-carb. You don`t miss bread or the like. It also goes well with steak and fried fish. We have also eaten it on a burger in a burger bun, it tastes nice and juicy.
