Ingredients

  • 600 grams flour
  • 350 ml water, warm
  • 1 bag / s yeast
  • 3 tablespoon oil
  • 1 ½ tablespoon sugar
  • 0.75 tablespoon ¾ salt
  • 300 g cheese (Jarlsber)
  • 1 bag / s mozzarella, grated
  • 1 egg (s)
  • Flour for the work surface

Instructions

  1. Put the flour, sugar and salt in a large mixing bowl and whisk with the mixer. Add the yeast, oil and water and stir vigorously with the mixer until a homogeneous mixture is formed. Cover the bowl, for example with a kitchen towel, and let the dough rise in a warm place for an hour. Cut the Jarlsberg cheese into sticks of approx. 20-25 g. Separate approx. 80 g each from the dough and roll out a length of approx. 0.5 - 1 cm on a floured work surface. Place a cheese stick in the middle, roll up the dough and press lightly. The cheese must no longer be visible. Place the cheese sticks on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and let rest for another 20 minutes. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees circulating air. Whisk the egg in a cup and brush the cheese sticks with it with a brush. Then spread the grated mozzarella on top. Slide in the baking sheet on the middle rack and bake for 15-20 minutes, depending on the degree of browning you want.
