- 500 g spelled flour, 630
- 25 g yeast, fresh
- 250 ml milk
- 50 g butter, melt
- 1 egg (s)
- 10 g salt
- 1 pinch (s) Bertram
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- some poppy seeds

- Prepare the yeast dough from all the ingredients except the poppy seeds. Everyone has their own tried and tested method.
- Let the dough rise under a plastic bag for 15 minutes.
- Then knead again vigorously and let rise for another 15 minutes.
- Then divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and grind each one round.
- Now preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
- Then shape each dough piece into sticks. Place this on a prepared tray. Smear each stick with water and sprinkle some poppy seeds on top.
- Cut the sticks diagonally approx. 3 times and leave them covered until the oven has reached the specified temperature.
- Then put the tray in the oven and let it bake for about 20 minutes.
