Hot Dog with Stewed Cabbage

Today we will prepare a hot dog with stewed cabbage – light and simple snack. Having prepared a homemade hot dog, you can have a delicious snack in any circumstances and under any conditions. You can eat this hot dog at home or take it to the forest for a picnic.
Ingredients
- Hot dog bun – 1 pc.
- Milk sausage – 1 pc.
- White cabbage – 80 g
- Pickled cucumber – 1 pc.
- Red onion – 0.5 pcs.
- Tomato – 1 pc.
- Fresh dill (or other greens) – 1-2 branches
- Mustard – 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper – to taste
Directions
- Warm the loaf a little in a frying pan or in the oven, then cut and grease the inside with mustard. If you don’t like mustard, replace it with vegetable oil or ketchup.
- Fry a hot dog sausage in vegetable oil until golden brown.
- Chop the cabbage and simmer over medium heat in the same oil in which the sausage was fried. Add salt and pepper to taste. After 3-4 minutes, when the cabbage becomes soft, remove from heat and cool slightly.
- Put all the cabbage in the hot dog.
- Then add the sausage, chopped cucumbers, and tomatoes. Cucumbers can be sliced and tomatoes can be sliced.
- Add fresh herbs to the hot dog – I have dill. It can be replaced with other herbs: parsley, cilantro, basil.
- Add the red onion chopped in half rings and the homemade hot dog with stewed cabbage is ready.
