How to Cook Buckwheat

If you started cooking not so long ago, if you want to learn how to cook tasty and convenient right away, if there is no time for experiments and clarifications, then you are in the right place. Today I will tell you how to cook delicious buckwheat, which can then be used as a side dish for meat and vegetables, and even as myself – buckwheat porridge (sweet, with milk or salt, with olive oil).

Ingredients

Buckwheat (unground) – 1 cup
Water – 2 cups
Salt – 1/3 teaspoon.
Butter – 1/4 part of a pack (40-50 g)

Buckwheat is quite capricious and not everyone can learn how to cook it the first time, so just in case you need to be ready for everything.

Directions

  1. Pour water into a saucepan and put it on fire.
  2. While the water is boiling, buckwheat can be rinsed in time.
  3. Salt the boiled water.
  4. And pour all the buckwheat into the pan (yes, in order to make it even tastier, you can put it in a dry frying pan and heat it up so that all excess moisture is gone, but if you don’t have time for these manipulations, then you can do it easier).
  5. Cook buckwheat over medium heat for about 7-10 minutes, but then you need to be more careful: there will come a moment when there will be very little water over the buckwheat, about as much as in the photo.
  6. Cut off 1/4 part from a pack of butter, put in a saucepan, stir, reduce heat to low.
  7. Now it remains to cook buckwheat under the lid until fully cooked (do not overdo it! We need buckwheat boiled, not fried, right?)
