Lazy Pasta Lasagna with Minced Chicken, Vegetables and Cheese

Lasagna is not the easiest dish, so if you want to make it easier to prepare, make a pasta casserole with minced chicken, vegetables, and cheese. The dish is simple but tastes very much like a traditional lasagna.

Ingredients

  • Minced chicken – 350 g
  • Pasta – 200 g
  • Onions – 50 g
  • Carrots – 50 g
  • Milk – 300 ml
  • Tomato paste – 2 tbsp
  • Hard cheese – 100 g
  • Cherry tomatoes (optional) – 3 pcs.
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground paprika – to taste
  • Sunflower oil – 70 ml

Directions

  1. We prepare all the necessary ingredients. The tomato paste must be of good quality. You also need to choose high-quality cheese. The taste of the dish directly depends on the quality of the cheese. By the way, you can take more cheese – you can’t spoil lasagna with cheese! Pasta can be used in any shape and quality, but it is better to buy pasta made from durum flour. Such pasta does not cook into porridge, although it takes a little longer to cook. Minced meat can also be used absolutely any. You can cook it yourself, or you can buy it.
  2. Peel and finely chop the onion. Peel and rub the carrots on a coarse grater. Fry onions and carrots in sunflower oil until light golden brown, stirring for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add minced chicken to the sautéed vegetables. Fry for another 7 minutes, stirring the minced meat and breaking the lumps.
  4. Next, add tomato paste to the minced meat with vegetables. Fry for another 3 minutes, stirring. Add the spices you like. I limited myself to paprika. Salt to taste.
  5. You can start assembling lazy lasagna. We will cook lasagne in a heat-resistant form (I have a ceramic one). Put a layer of pasta on the bottom of the mold. The pasta will grow in size as it cooks, so don’t overload it.
  6. The next layer is half of the minced meat filling with vegetables. Rub the cheese on a coarse grater. Put half the cheese in a mold on top of the minced meat. Repeat all layers. Salt the milk to taste and pour the milk into the contents of the form.
  7. If you wish, decorate with halves of cherry tomatoes (this is not necessary). We put the mold in a hot or cold oven (depending on the type of mold, I put the ceramic one in a cold oven).
  8. We bake pasta with minced meat, vegetables, and cheese in the oven at 175 degrees. Baking time is about an hour. The minced meat and cheese pasta casserole (lazy lasagna) are ready.
