Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts, skin or chicken legs
  • 200 ml pomegranate juice
  • 1 pomegranate
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable stock
  • 3 cm ginger
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 pinch (s) clove powder
  • 1 pinch (s) cinnamon
  • 1 pinch (s) nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 0.5 ½ bunch coriander
  • 200 g natural yourt
  • 0.5 ½ bunch spring onion (s)

Instructions

  1. Fry the chicken with the oil on all sides.
  2. Meanwhile, grind the peeled clove of garlic and onion, ginger, allspice, cinnamon, broth, clove, nutmeg, thyme, lemon juice, honey and pomegranate juice with a mixer until a slightly creamy sauce is formed. Season this with salt and pepper.
  3. Salt the fried chicken, put the sauce in a baking dish and put the meat in with the skin facing up. Place in the oven preheated to 190 ° C for about 30 minutes.
  4. When serving, pour some of the coriander and the pomegranate seeds on top and serve.
  5. We really like to eat rice flavored with spices with toasted almond flakes and, since we don`t like raisins, with dried cranberries. Then we add natural yoghurt and finely chopped spring onions to the dish.
