Minced Meat Balls, Chisinau Style

Chisinau meatballs – a dish of Moldovan cuisine. It turns out very juicy and looks beautiful. You can cook both for a festive table and for a family lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

  • Minced pork – 600 g
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Egg – 3 pcs. (1 in minced meat, 2 in batter)
  • Milk – 100 ml
  • Flour – 2 tbsp
  • Butter – 2-3 tbsp
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp + for frying
  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper

Directions

  1. For minced meat, pass the pork through a medium or large nozzle of a meat grinder.
  2. Finely chop the onion.
  3. Fry the onion in a mixture of vegetable (2 tablespoon. L.) And butter until golden brown.
  4. Add fried onions, 1 egg, salt, pepper and a little milk to the minced meat (about 3 tablespoons).
  5. For batter, beat 2 eggs with salt, 2 tablespoons of flour and 3 tablespoons of milk.
  6. The consistency of the batter should be neither thick nor runny.
  7. We form the meatballs like cutlets, wrap them in batter (conveniently with a tablespoon).
  8. Fry over high heat for 5 minutes on each side.
  9. Put the meatballs in a heat-resistant form and bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes. (You can bake in a multicooker on the “Baking” mode for 10-15 minutes.)
  10. Chisinau meatballs are ready.
