Ingredients

  • 1 kg pear (s)
  • 300 ml vinegar, (honey or mild white wine)
  • 200 ml white wine, dry
  • 2 tablespoon mustard seeds, yellow
  • 1 tablespoon mustard powder, yellow
  • 1 ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 250 grams sugar
  • 1 teaspoon spice mix, (Garam Masala)

Instructions

  1. Quarter and peel the pears and cut out the core. Then roughly dice.
  2. Bring the vinegar, white wine and all the spices to a boil. Add the pear cubes and cook over a low heat until al dente. Remove the pear pieces and pour them into glasses.
  3. Bring the brew to the boil again and pour over the pears.
  4. Close the twist-off jars immediately and let them cool upside down.
  5. The pears last about a year.
