Ingredients

  • 500 g lamb or mutton, lean
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 onion (s), peppered with cloves
  • 2 clove (s) garlic, crushed
  • 500 g beans, reen, approx. 3 cm pieces
  • 500 g potato (s), rouhly diced
  • Salt and pepper, freshly ground
  • Savory, fresh or dried
  • 500 ml meat stock

Instructions

  1. Cut the meat into portions and simmer for 20 minutes in the simmering broth with bay leaf, onion and garlic. Add the beans and potatoes and simmer for another 30 minutes.
  2. Season with salt, pepper and savory (add the dried savory at the same time as the beans).
  3. Mutton tastes much more intense than lamb. Unfortunately it`s not easy to get hold of, try the Turkish grocery store.
