Ingredients

  • 400 g flour
  • 20 g yeast
  • 250 ml water, lukewarm
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • Oil, for deep-frying

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the yeast in the water, knead with flour, salt and oil until smooth. Dust with flour, cover with a tea towel and let rise in a warm place for about 2 hours.
  2. Roll out the dough thinly and cut into strips approx. 2 cm wide and 15 cm long. Fry them in hot fat or in the deep fryer until golden brown.
  3. Drain the fat well, then sprinkle with salt and paprika like normal french fries. We eat panzarotti fries with gyros or just like that, as they are very filling.
