Puffs with Jam

Jam puffs are easy to make any day. The main thing is to defrost the finished puff pastry in advance, and you can use any thick jam for the filling. These baked goods can replace store-bought cookies, so be sure to make delicious jam puffs for your family.

Ingredients

  • Yeast-free puff pastry – 300 g
  • Thick jam – 100 g
  • Flour (for dusting the working surface) – 20-30 g
  • Egg (for greasing) – 1 pc.
  • Powdered sugar – to taste

Directions

  1. Prepare all food for jam puffs
  2. Sprinkle flour on a work surface and cut the puff pastry into squares of about 8×8 cm.
  3. Fold the square into a triangle and make two cuts along the edge, not reaching the end.
  4. Expand the workpiece.
  5. Fold one free edge upwards in the opposite direction.
  6. Do the same with the other end of the test. This creates a hole for the jam inside the dough.
  7. Add a teaspoon of thick jam to the puff.
  8. Do this with all the puffs.
  9. Put the puffs on a baking sheet, grease each puff around the edges with a beaten egg so that after baking you get a golden brown crust.
  10. Bake puffs for 15-20 minutes at 200 degrees.
  11. Sprinkle the prepared slightly cooled jam puffs with powdered sugar according to your taste.
  12. Have a nice tea!
