Ingredients

  • 500 g pork or chicken breast
  • 1 stalk lemongrass, fresh
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ pepper, ground black
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon curry
  • 400 ml coconut milk

Instructions

  1. Cut the meat into strips about 10 cm long and 3 cm wide. Soak the wooden skewers in water so that they don`t burn so easily later on the grill.
  2. Wash the lemongrass and cut into thin slices. Crush both with coriander seeds and cumin seeds in a mortar. Mix in the salt, pepper, 2 tablespoons of sugar, curry powder and 3 tablespoons of the thick layer on top of the coconut milk. Then season the meat with this mixture.
  3. Cover and marinate the meat for at least 1 hour. Then stick the length of the accordion on 12 soaked wooden skewers.
  4. Cook the skewers on the charcoal grill for about 3 minutes on each side or in the top oven at 200 ° C for about 15 minutes until they are browned, turning them frequently.
  5. Serve with lukewarm peanut sauce.
