  • 125 g flour
  • 60 g suar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 50 g mararine, vean
  • 6 tablespoon applesauce
  • 250 ml soy milk (soy drink)

Instructions

  1. To start with, you can preheat your waffle iron to medium heat and, if necessary, grease it with a little oil or the vegan margarine. Melt the vegan margarine in the microwave for about a minute.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients, i.e. the flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, baking powder and a pinch of salt in a bowl or a large measuring cup. Add the melted margarine, soy milk and applesauce. Mix with a whisk for approx. 1 - 2 minutes to form a relatively thin dough. Make sure there are no lumps left in the dough.
  3. Now you can put the batter into the waffle iron over low heat. If it`s too hot, the waffles will turn black too quickly on the outside and remain tough on the inside. You need a lot of batter per waffle, as it doesn`t rise much. The baking time depends entirely on the waffle iron. For me they need about 3 - 5 minutes at level 2 of 5.
  4. If you want, you can refine the waffle with powdered sugar, fruit or vegan vanilla ice cream. They taste best warm.
