Ingredients

  • 800 g tuna (Yellowfin Tuna), sashima quality
  • 100 g onion (s), diced
  • 50 g sprin onion (s)
  • 235 ml soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon sesame oil
  • some sea salt (Hawaiian)
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Season the tuna with the sea salt, mix the other ingredients and mix well with the tuna. Chill the whole thing for at least 2 hours.
  2. In Hawaii, poke is usually eaten as a pupu (starter) and can be found on almost all luaus. The recipe can be expanded with all sorts of extras, but the basis always remains the same. Kukui nut and garlic are often added.
