Baked Mushrooms with Nuts

A wonderful mushroom appetizer with walnuts.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Large champignon mushrooms – 8 pcs.
  • Walnuts (chopped) – 50 g
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Zest of one lemon
  • Olive oil – 90 g (6 tablespoon. L.)
  • Fresh parsley (chopped) – 30 g (2 tablespoon. L.)
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. Grind the garlic in a mortar with a little salt, then add the zest and olive oil, mix well.
  2. Turn on the oven to preheat to 200 degrees. In mushrooms, cut off the legs almost completely, leaving about 2 centimeters on the cap. Place the mushrooms in an ovenproof dish, feet up. Drizzle the mushrooms with about 4 tablespoons of the garlic oil mixture and place in the oven for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove the mushrooms from the oven and brush them with the remaining garlic oil, sprinkle with walnuts. Place the mushrooms in the oven again and cook the baked mushrooms for another 10-15 minutes, until tender. Sprinkle the prepared baked mushrooms with salt, pepper, and parsley.
