Fish in Оrange Sauce

Let’s cook delicious Chinese fish in orange sauce.

Ingredients

  • Pollock (hake, pangasius) – 0.5 kg
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Flour – 3 tbsp
  • Starch (potato) – 3 tbsp
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Vegetable oil
  • (Sesame oil is ideal, but if not, add 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds to plain oil when frying)
  • For the sauce:
  • Orange – 1 pc.
  • Lemon – 0.5 pcs.
  • Sugar – 1 teaspoon
  • Starch – 1 tbsp
  • Water – 100 ml

How to cook fish with sauce:

Directions

  1. We cut the fish into pieces no wider than 2 cm. Do not beat the eggs too much, salt and pepper them. We put the fish in eggs and let it stay in them for 5 minutes. Dip each piece of fish in mixed flour with starch and put in a frying pan in highly heated oil.
  2. There should be enough oil, fry the fish until golden brown.
  3. Cooking sauce for fish. Squeeze the juice out of the orange and lemon. Pour into a saucepan and heat until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add water with diluted starch. We stir all the time until it thickens.
  4. Pour the sauce over the fish. I like to fish with a sauce colder.
