This is a snack dish, but delicious.

Ingredients

  • Salted herring – 1 pc.
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Apple – 1 pc.
  • White bread – 1 slice
  • Vinegar – 1 teaspoon.
  • Boiled egg – 2 pcs.
  • Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp
  • Milk

Directions

  1. We clean the herring from the skin and bones. If it is very salty, then soak it in milk for 3-4 hours.
  2. Boil eggs, clean them. Only yolks will go to the forshmak.
    We clean the apple.
  3. Soak a slice of bread in milk and squeeze.
  4. We pass all the prepared ingredients through a meat grinder: herring fillet, apple, yolks, onions, bread. Add vinegar and vegetable oil to the resulting minced meat. Mix everything thoroughly, we get forshmak. Decorate the dish with the remaining proteins.
