Garlic Bread with Mozzarella Cheese

If you do not have bread at home but have mozzarella cheese, bake bread using this recipe. You will love the aroma of bread with cheese and garlic so much that you will bake such homemade bread very often! The recipe without any troubles and long dough proofing.

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour – 270 g
  • Milk – 125 g
  • Chicken egg – 1 pc.
  • Butter – 50 g
  • Dry yeast – 1 teaspoon.
  • Sugar – 15 g
  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Mozzarella cheese – 180 g
  • Garlic – 1 large clove
  • Dried parsley (or fresh)

So, to bake bread, you need yeast, but in this case, you can take dry fast-acting yeast, with which everything is very simple to bake. Therefore, do not be afraid if you have never baked bread, you will definitely succeed in this option! The bread is very simple, and its appearance is more like a thick flat cake than the usual loaf of bread. Fresh bread can be simply broken and eaten, or you can cut it into thin slices and smear anything on it – butter, pâté, put cheese on top, although it is already with cheese, it is very tasty to eat such bread with any vegetable caviar. So feel free to try and enjoy!

Directions

  1. As with any baking, first of all, we sift the flour through a sieve. Pour about 50 g of flour into another bowl and add dry yeast to it. Stir.
  2. Pour milk at room temperature into the bowl in which we will knead the dough. We send flour with yeast there. Pour in sugar.
  3. Add salt. Add the egg, which we took out of the refrigerator in advance, so that it is at room temperature. We mix everything.
  4. Now add half of the remaining flour and mix until smooth. Pour in 30 g of cooled melted butter and mix. Add flour again, but leave a little to sprinkle on the board, on which we will knead the dough.
  5. As soon as we have combined all the components in a bowl until a homogeneous dough is obtained, but this dough on a board dusted with flour – this way it will be more convenient for us to knead it until it becomes more elastic and elastic.
  6. After a short kneading, leave the dough on the board and cover it with a bowl. We leave it in this form for a small proofing for 20 minutes – this will be enough.
  7. In the meantime, the dough is defrosted, cut the mozzarella into small pieces. Chop a clove of garlic and mix it with the remaining 20 g of softened butter. The bread dough has come up, remove the bowl.
  8. We spread the yeast dough on a baking sheet with parchment or a non-stick mat, flatten it with our hands into a thick cake. We make cuts along and across, but we will not cut to the end, but only to the middle of the entire thickness.
  9. Lubricate the cake with garlic oil, trying to get not only from above but also into the slots. It is convenient to do this with a teaspoon. Then put the pieces of mozzarella in these slots. In this form, we send the cake with cheese and garlic to the preheated oven. We bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes but focus on your oven.
  10. As soon as the garlic bread with cheese is browned and the cheese has melted, we take it out of the oven and immediately sprinkle it with dried parsley. You don’t have to use dried parsley, you can sprinkle the mozzarella with fresh herbs.
  11. This is how incredibly fragrant homemade bread with cheese and garlic turned out.
  12. And so it is in the context – porous, airy, and very tasty!
