Ingredients

  • 200 g butter
  • 50 g marzipan raw mixture
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
  • 0.5 ½ lemon (s), grated zest
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 125 g powdered suar

Instructions

  1. Mix the butter, which is as soft as possible, with the powdered sugar, marzipan, vanilla sugar and lemon zest. Sift the flour over the butter mixture and knead in. Shape the dough into rolls of the same size with a diameter of about 5 cm, wrap the rolls in aluminum foil and let them rest in the refrigerator overnight. Preheat the oven to 190 °.
  2. Brush the pastry sticks with the beaten egg yolk and roll in the sugar. Cut 0.5 cm thick slices, place on a baking sheet and bake on the middle rack for 10-15 minutes. Let the cookies cool on a wire rack.
