Ingredients

  • 500 g leek
  • 1 lemon (s), juice it
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon pepper, whole
  • 1 teaspoon allspice, whole
  • 500 ml water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch (s) sugar
  • 3 tablespoon capers
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Clean the leek, wash thoroughly and cut diagonally into 4 cm long pieces.
  2. Bring the water with lemon juice, bay leaf, salt, pepper and sugar to the boil and simmer for approx. 5 minutes.
  3. Add the leek and cook on medium heat for 5 minutes until crisp, then remove and drain onto four plates.
  4. Mix 5 tablespoons of the still warm cooking marinade with the olive oil and capers, spread over the leek and serve lukewarm.
