  • 1 kg potato (s)
  • 1 large onion (s)
  • some butter, or margarine
  • 100 ml milk
  • Salt and pepper
  • marjoram
  • turmeric powder
  • some water

Mashed Potatoes with Difference

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes, wash them, cut them into small pieces and cook them with a little salt and water until they are soft.
  2. In the meantime, cut the onion into small cubes and sauté with butter or margarine until translucent / golden brown.
  3. Pour off the soft potatoes and place them on the switched-off hob again and add about 100 ml of milk. Stomp everything small. Add a few flakes of margarine or butter, the steamed onions, salt, pepper, some marjoram and, if you like, some turmeric for the color, and mix everything with a hand mixer. Possibly season again.
  4. Note: If you add too much turmeric, the color of the mashed potatoes can change to neon color.
