Milk Dessert with Semolina, Cookies and Coconut

This original homemade dessert with a coconut flavor is reminiscent of milk pudding inconsistency. Chocolate biscuits add a special effect to the dish. The dessert is harmoniously decorated with melted chocolate and chopped walnuts.

Ingredients

  • Milk – 1 l
  • Coconut flakes – 60 g
  • Semolina – 200 g
  • Sugar – 200 g
  • Chocolate cookies – 15 pcs.
  • Vanilla sugar – 1/2 teaspoon

  • For decoration:
  • Black chocolate – 40 g
  • Walnuts – 30 g

Directions

  1. Combine semolina, coconut, and sugar in a heavy-bottomed saucepan.
  2. Stir. Pour in milk carefully and stir again.
  3. Place the pot on the stove and start heating over low heat. Stir the semolina constantly with a spatula so that no lumps form at the bottom. You need to heat until it boils and noticeably thickens the mass.
  4. Whisk the thickened semolina a little, add the vanilla sugar, stir and cool. Cover the form with cling film, put the semolina in it, and smooth.
  5. Insert the chocolate chip cookies into the semolina porridge. I got 5 rows of three in each.
    Cover the dessert with cling film on top and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
  6. Gently turn the frozen dessert onto a large platter. Remove the cling film.
  7. Melt the chocolate in a water bath and pour over the dessert. Finely chop the walnuts and sprinkle the dessert over the chocolate.
  8. Ready-made milk desserts with semolina, cookies, and coconut flakes can be served chilled immediately after decorating.
