Ingredients

  • 500 g strawberries, weihed cleaned
  • 100 g suar
  • 50 ml red wine vinegar
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 1 tablespoon black peppercorns, coarsely crushed
  • 4 grains allspice, coarsely crushed
  • 1 piece (s) ginger, the size a hazelnut, finely grated
  • 1 small onion (s), chopped
  • 1 tablespoon cassis

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients except the liqueur in a sufficiently large saucepan, bring to the boil and reduce thickly over a medium flame. Depending on the amount of fluid, this can take just under an hour. Stir again and again. When the desired consistency is achieved, add the cassis to taste.
  2. Pour into prepared twist-off glasses and allow to cool.
