  • 150 g butter, cold

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, baking powder, sugar, vanilla sugar and a small pinch of salt. Add the egg and the cold butter in flakes. Knead the whole thing well with the dough hook of the hand mixer. Possibly chill for half an hour and then roll out a little thinner than normal. Cut out hearts and bake at 180 ° C for 8-9 minutes, depending on the oven.
  2. After they have cooled down, spread a little heart with apricot jam and carefully press on another little heart. After a short drying time, the halves hold together on their own. Now one half of the heart is coated with melted couverture.
  3. My grandmother baked these cookies for us children every year. Unfortunately I couldn`t ask her about the recipe anymore, but this one tastes just like it used to. They stay in a tin can for quite a while.
