Ingredients

  • 30 g butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ point dry yeast
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ sugar
  • Sesame, or black cumin, or poppy seeds
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. 1 cup corresponds to about 200 ml.
  2. Melt the butter, add the milk and warm up a little more so that it is lukewarm but not hot. Add flour, salt, sugar and yeast and knead to form the dough. Let the dough rise and then form 3-4 cm balls. Place on a baking tray that has been greased or lined with baking paper. Cover and let rise again for about 10 minutes and cut a cross into the surface of the roll.
  3. Beat the egg with ½ teaspoon sugar and brush the rolls with it. Sprinkle with sesame, black cumin or poppy seeds to taste. Bake at 200-220 ° C until golden.
  4. While baking, squeeze garlic, add olive oil and heat. Brush the hot rolls with the garlic oil.
  5. The rolls go very well with a cold buffet or as an accompaniment to soups, etc.
