Ingredients

  • 140 g flour (wheat flour)
  • 200 ml buttermilk or whey
  • 50 ml sparkling mineral water
  • 1 egg (s)
  • oil

Instructions

  1. First mix the flour (about 120-140 g) with the buttermilk until smooth. Let it swell briefly. Then whisk in the mineral water and the egg. Immediately bake thin pancakes in a lightly oiled hot pan.
  2. You can, for example, eat it with a sweet filling (apple sauce, jam, Nutella and banana, quark dish) and fill the rest of it with a spicy taste the next day, baked it, add it to the soup as a pancake or whatever.
  3. We make about 8 beautifully thin pancakes out of it. All I do is paint the pan with a piece of kitchen roll with a little oil, that`s enough.
  4. Variation: add sugar, cinnamon, cocoa powder, tomato paste, chopped herbs or grated cheese to the batter.
