Ingredients
- 380 g spelled flour, smooth
- 40 g butter, soft
- 0.5 ½ teaspoon, leveled salt
- 1 cube yeast, fresh
- 100 ml water, lukewarm
- 120 ml milk, lukewarm
- 4 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 4 tablespoon sesame seeds

- Crumble the yeast in a bowl and sprinkle with the salt. Let stand for a while, the yeast will dissolve with the salt. Then add the lukewarm liquids and stir by hand. Add the softened butter and sieve the flour over it. Knead everything by hand into a homogeneous, smooth dough. Divide the dough into 16 portions. Shape these into balls and leave to rest briefly covered.
- Then roll out these balls into sticks. Brush the sticks with water and turn 8 of them in the poppy seeds. Bread the other 8 in sesame seeds. Twist a poppy seed and a sesame stick each into cords and place on a tray. Cover and let rise for approx. 1 hour to double the size.
- Bake in the preheated oven at 220 ° C for approx. 20 minutes.
